During your one hour appointment, our International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) certified technologists will determine your risk factors for Osteoporosis. You will receive an assessment of your personal risk factors and information on:
A Bone Density Study is a painless way to measure bone
density at various sites on your body. The spine, hip, and wrist are
scanned with a tiny beam of x-ray. An ISCD certified provider will
interpret your bone density study and provide a conclusive report. The best way to find out how strong or weak your bones are is to have a bone mineral density (BMD) test. The staff at Great Lakes Osteoporosis Treatment and Prevention
